Il est membre de l’agence Magnum depuis 1986. Ses photos, pour la plupart des portraits tout en couleur, nous font entrer dans les yeux et dans l’âme de ceux qui sont photographiés (c’est beau hein !). Sa photo la plus connue est celle d’une jeune réfugiée afghane, Sharbat Gula. Cette photo, datant de 1984, avait même fait la couverture du National Geographic Magazine. La voici, suivie d’une série d’autre clichés tout aussi magnifiques.
